Fire Damages Maryland Shopping Center
Fire officials say a fire in Mill Creek, Md. has caused heavy damage at a strip shopping center on Kirkwood Highway.
The fire west of Mill Creek was reported shortly after midnight Monday in the 5900 block of Kirkwood Highway. Flames fanned by stiff winds broke through the roof of the building and kept firefighters busy for about two hours before the fire was declared under control.
More than five dozen firefifghters from five area fire companies responded.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
