Amoroso Wins ‘Insurance Woman of the Year’ Award
The Association of Professional Insurance Women has named Rebecca C. Amoroso as its Insurance Woman of the Year.
Amoroso is vice chairman and U.S. Insurance Industry Group Leader at Deloitte, where she has worked for 22 years. Her first eight years in the insurance industry were spent with American International Group and Insurance Services Office.
At Deloitte, she oversees over 2,000 insurance practitioners in more than 50 cities across the United States and sits on the steering committee of Deloitte’s Women’s Initiative.
Amoroso is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She has previously been honored as one of the Top 50 Hispanic Women in Business, and Working Mother magazine has named her one of its top 10 corporate multicultural women.
The Insurance Woman of the Year Award, first presented in 1976, recognizes exceptional women who have achieved prominence in their profession and have made significant contributions to the insurance industry.
She will be honored at an awards ceremony in July in New York.
