Maryland Worker Trapped on Crane Dies
Anne Arundel County (Maryland) fire officials reported that a worker who became trapped on a construction crane above a shopping center near Annapolis has died.
Division Chief Michael Cox said emergency crews responded the Annapolis Towne Center construction site on Riva Road about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, after getting a report of an injured worker.
Cox says the worker was about 200 feet in the air on a tower crane. According to Cox, other workers said they were in the process of removing a section of the crane when apparently something went wrong, and the worker was caught between two pieces.
Cox says rescuers found the deceased worker.
