Vandals Damage 17 Cars in Maryland
Police in Frederick, Maryland say 17 parked cars were damaged after being hit by landscaping rocks.
Police received reports of the damage Sunday morning and say in each case, the car was hit with gray river stones used for landscaping, cracking or shattering windows in most cases. However, no valuables were reported stolen from the cars.
Police agencies in the Washington region have reported two other cases of mass vandalism of cars this month.
Windows were shot out in 22 vehicles using a BB gun in the Dale City section of Prince William County on March 10 and 11.
Fairfax County police say windows on 37 cars were shot out with pellet guns on more than a dozen streets in the Burke area on March 22. Two men were arrested in that case.
