Maryland Teen Hurt in Boat-Docking Accident
Maryland Natural Resources police say a teen was seriously injured when he steered a boat into a dock and was knocked into the water along Herring Creek in West Ocean City.
The 13-year-old boy was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore on Sunday evening.
Police spokesman Sgt. A.A. Windemuth says Brian Jay Dalamater was charged with knowingly allowing a person under age 16 to operate a personal watercraft and failure to possess valid registration for the watercraft.
Windemuth says Maryland law prohibits anyone under 16 from operating a personal watercraft.
