Maryland House Arson Causes $250K in Damage
Fire officials say a blaze in a house in Mayo, Maryland that caused about $250,000 in damage was intentionally set. There were no injuries.
It happened about 3:15 a.m. Monday on Ponder Drive. Twenty-eight Anne Arundel County firefighters battled the blaze for about 40 minutes.
Fire department spokesman Division Chief Michael Cox said firefighters arrived to find flames coming through the rear of the home and the roof of the two-story single-family dwelling.
Investigators believe the fire started outside of the house.
