Pennsylvania Couple Suing Resort over Humiliation
A western Pennsylvania couple is suing Seven Springs Mountain Resort claiming they were humiliated when the husband was allegedly roughed up by security at a Halloween party.
According to the suit, Scott and Maria Harshey, of Jeannette, were at the resort on Nov. 3, 2007, with a female friend when someone threw a drink on her. Scott Harshey turned toward the thrower, who knocked him to the ground and kicked him.
The suit says a security guard then dragged Harshey away by the lip and gums.
The suit, filed Wednesday in Westmoreland County Court, says he was cut and bruised and subject to humiliation while his wife lost his protection and companionship. They’re seeking up to $60,000.
The resort declined comment.
