Early Morning Fire Destroys Several Connecticut Shops
An early morning fire has destroyed several businesses in a Connecticut shopping center.
Firefighters in Montville were called to the Oakdale Plaza on Chapel Hill Road shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday. The fire is contained and no injuries are being reported.
Fire officials say the blaze appeared to begin in a new bar that hadn’t yet opened. At least six other businesses, including a Chinese restaurant, were also destroyed.
The cause is under investigation.
