ShopRite Store in Wilmington, Delaware Recalls Meat
A ShopRite grocery store in Wilmington, Delaware is recalling store-made ground meat.
The New Jersey-based supermarket chain said Friday that ground meat processed at its store in the Christina Crossing shopping center on Wednesday may contain small pieces of black tray lining pad.
ShopRite spokeswoman Karen Meleta said in a statement that the lining pad pieces may not cause an immediate health risk if ingested.
The recall only affects the ShopRite on Walnut Street in Wilmington.
Customers are asked to check the labels of any ground meat they purchased this week, and return it for a full refund or exchange.
