Maryland authorities say a large wind-swept fire has ripped through a poultry farm in Warwick, burning buildings and drawing more than 100 firefighters.
Cecil County officials say the fire broke out about 7:30 p.m. Monday at the ISE America farm on Sassafras Road, and was brought under control about 11 p.m. At least 10 fire companies from Maryland and Delaware responded to the blaze.
Officials say four wood-framed chicken coops were affected, and the damage was estimated at $700,000.
