Family Sues Connecticut City, Cops Over Fatal Crash
The family of one of two Connecticut teenagers killed when a Milford police cruiser smashed into their car at 94 mph is suing the officer and the city.
A lawyer for the family of Ashlie Krakowski of Orange filed the negligence lawsuit recently in state Superior Court. The family of the other victim, David Servin of Orange, filed state and federal lawsuits in the spring against former Officer Jason Anderson, Officer Richard Pisani and the city. Krakowski and Servin were both 19.
Police have denied that Anderson and Pisani were racing when Anderson crashed into the teens’ car in Orange in 2009 while returning from a mutual aid call without his emergency lights on.
Anderson was fired and is awaiting trial on manslaughter charges.
Milford’s city attorney declined to comment.
