Car Crashes Into Empty Pennsylvania Church
Police say an out-of-control car slammed into the front of an empty western Pennsylvania church but no one was inside at the time.
Officials say the driver lost control and struck a utility pole and tree before going airborne and hitting the Herminie No. 2 United Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon.
The church was empty. Pastor Bruce Anthony says services had been held in the morning.
Anthony estimated the damages at $10,000 to $12,000.
Officials did not release the name of the driver.
