BDO Appoints Schweers Head of Insurance Claim Services Practice
BDO Consulting, a professional service organization providing litigation, investigation, insurance claims, business restructuring and risk advisory services, named Clark Schweers as managing director and head of its insurance claim services practice, based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.
In his new role, Schweers will advise clients on complex property and business interruption claims for insured businesses. His appointment is effective immediately.
Prior to joining the firm, Schweers was a senior manager in Ernst & Young’s fraud investigation and dispute services practice, where he advised clients on complex business interruption and property damage claims, construction damage and fraud investigation matters for more than 13 years.
Schweers has also assisted clients with product liability/contamination matters and assisted in the arbitration of M&A disputes.
Schweers is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Associate Member of the American Bar Association (ABA), Associate Member of Risk Management Society (RIMS).
