Fire Damaged Delaware Buildings Was Arson
Delaware fire officials say a fire that damaged a business and home in New Castle over the weekend was set intentionally.
Investigators say the fire that broke out on South Du Pont Highway about 10 p.m. Sunday started inside a garage and spread to a tattoo business and adjacent home. Robert Fox, the deputy state fire marshal, says the residents of the home escaped safely and have been relocated.
Fox says the tattoo parlor remains closed.
He says damage to all three structures is estimated at $100,000.
Authorities are still investigating.
