Falling Tree Branch Critically Injures New York Man
State police say an eastern New York man is in critical condition after he was struck in the head by a falling tree branch while clearing dead trees.
Troopers say 41-year-old Todd Croshier of Pleasant Valley was in the woods in the Dutchess County town of Washington around noon Wednesday when he was hit in the head by a falling branch.
Croshier was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, where he’s being treated for a fractured skull and other head trauma.
