1 Dead After BMW Crashes Through Restaurant Window
Police say a BMW crashed into a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in suburban Washington D.C., killing the driver and injuring several other people.
Authorities say the vehicle left the roadway and sliced through the large glass windows of the restaurant in Landover, Md., about 6:30 p.m. Monday. Julie Parker, a spokeswoman for the police department, says investigators believe the driver of the BMW was killed in the crash.
Authorities say several people were also injured, but their injuries did not appear to be serious. It is not clear if those injured included customers or employees of the restaurant.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
