Pennsylvania Schools Close Classroom Over Bed Bugs
School officials in Harrisburg, Pa., have sealed off an elementary school classroom after confirming a home outbreak of bed bugs had made its way to the school.
Superintendent Sybil Knight-Burney says the bugs were found at the school late last week at Camp Curtin Elementary School.
Knight-Burney says rugs and other fabric items are being removed from the building and one classroom is closed completely.
The district says it’s helping the affected family deal with the infestation. Bed bugs feed on blood and can be difficult to eradicate.
