16 Hurt in New York City Funeral Procession Accident
Sixteen people were hurt when a limousine in a funeral procession hit the wall of a Queens, N.Y., bodega after the driver swerved to avoid another car.
The procession was on Guy R. Brewer Boulevard around 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Witnesses told the New York Post that a minivan that wasn’t part of the group clipped the limo, causing the driver to swerve.
The limo hit the wall of the market, injuring the owner, who was treated at the scene. Fifteen other people were also injured, with some taken to nearby hospitals.
The funeral procession had been heading to Long Island to bury a 94-year-old woman.
