Pennsylvania Woman Set Fire After Eviction Notice
A northeastern Pennsylvania woman allegedly set her apartment building on fire after being served with an eviction notice last fall.
State police say 27-year-old Susan McCauley set several fires in the basement of the multi-unit building in Blakely, Lackawanna County on Sept. 14.
Authorities say McCauley had been served with an eviction notice a day before setting the fires, which required more than 50 firefighters to put out. No injuries were reported.
McCauley was being held on unrelated charges when she was charged Monday with two counts of arson and criminal mischief. Online court records do not list an attorney for her.
