2 Killed When House Collapses During Repairs in Maine
Police say one man was killed and another hurt when a seasonal lakefront home collapsed during repairs in Albion, Maine.
Public Safety Department spokesman Steve McCausland says the men were jacking up the structure so they could install new supports underneath when it dropped onto them on Tuesday.
He says the fire department’s jaws of life were used to lift the building off the victims.
McCausland says one man died at the scene and another was taken to a hospital. Both men’s identities were withheld pending notification of relatives.
