Fire Damages Public Works Buildings in Maryland
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire that damaged two public works buildings in Cambridge.
Fire Chief Robert Phillips says firefighters were called to the blaze in the 700 block of Leonard Lane about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday. Fire officials arrived to find two buildings engulfed in flames. Both suffered extensive damage.
Fire crews were still clearing the scene early Thursday morning.
Phillips says one firefighter was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
