Santa’s Sleigh Stolen From Connecticut Gift Shop
Santa’s sleigh has been stolen.
The Hartford Courant reports that Glastonbury, Conn., police say a thief on Saturday stole the red wooden sleigh containing display gifts from Emmy Lou’s Ltd. gift shop. A vehicle was driven onto the sidewalk from the rear of the building to cart away the sleigh.
The sleigh had been a fixture at holiday time for years.
The shop is in the one-time home of Gideon Welles, President Abraham Lincoln’s Navy secretary.
