$1M Going to Southwest Vermont for Disaster Recovery
Southeastern Vermont businesses still working to recover from Tropical Storm Irene may have some help coming.
State officials have announced that the Vermont Community Development Program has decided to award the money to two regional development corporations in Springfield and Brattleboro.
It’s the latest installment in nearly $22 million in Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery funds made available around Vermont since the storm nearly 16 months ago.
Individual businesses will be able to apply for funds beginning next Wednesday. Applications will be on the websites of the Brattleboro Development Credit Corp. and the Springfield Regional Development Corp.
