Former Vermont Department of Safety Lawyer Charged With DUI
A woman who worked as lawyer for the Vermont Department of Public Safety is facing charges of driving under the influence and cruelty to children after police said she was driving erratically with two young children in her car.
Annika Green’s job until last month included giving legal advice to Vermont State Police.
The 41-year-old Green of Berlin was arrested on Saturday following a motor vehicle complaint on Interstate 89.
The Burlington Free Press reports Green was released with a citation ordering her to appear May 2 in Vermont Superior Court in Barre.
Green is a former Windsor County deputy state’s attorney. She was a finalist for executive director of the Vermont State’s Attorneys and Sheriffs’ Association.
