4 From Illinois Arrested in Central New York Burglaries
Authorities say they’ve arrested four people from the Chicago area in connection with multiple burglaries committed in central New York.
The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office says the suspects were arrested Sunday evening at a Syracuse hotel.
A 26-year-old woman, a 41-year-old man and a 35-year-old man, all from Norridge, Illinois, were charged with burglary and grand larceny. A 34-year-old Chicago man was charged with narcotics possession.
Officials say the suspects were involved with about 15 burglaries committed over the past two years in Manlius, Lysander, Clay and Liverpool. Police say the crimes netted them more than $540,000 in cash and high-end jewelry.
Authorities say the four are also suspects in burglaries in Detroit, Ohio, Illinois, Tennessee and New York City.
All four are being held in the county Justice Center in Syracuse.
