Pennsylvania Man Admits to Driving Corvette Into River
A man accused of sending the red Corvette his wife drives plunging into a Philadelphia river during a messy divorce has been arrested.
Police say John Kramer turned himself in to the police department’s northeast detectives division and was being processed Wednesday evening.
A police spokeswoman say Kramer faces charges of violating a protection from abuse order, harassment and recklessly endangering another person.
Police say a witness told them a man drove to the Delaware River on Monday, got out and let the car run into the water. They say he took the car from his wife’s house.
Marine units found the car in 30 feet of water and made sure no one was inside. The car later was lifted from the water.
Kramer’s attorney hasn’t returned a message seeking comment.
