I-93 Crash Victim’s Husband Sues Firms
The husband of a New Hampshire woman who died in 2013 when a tire from a truck trailer slammed into her SUV on Interstate 93 in Hooksett has sued the companies that operated the unit.
The accident killed 40-year-old Kerry Anderson-Baker of Concord.
A New Hampshire State Police report said maintenance wasn’t up to date and numerous violations were discovered following an inspection of the truck owned by Crawford Homes and the trailer owned by Excel Homes Group, including cracked and missing brake linings, axels contaminated with grease, and tires carrying too much weight.
The Concord Monitor reports the lawsuit in Merrimack County says the companies were negligent and a trial is scheduled for next year. The companies have denied the allegations.
