Sharoun Named COO for Crawford Adjusters Canada
Jeffrey Bowman, president of Crawford & Company International Inc. announced the appointment of John Sharoun as chief operating officer (COO) of Crawford Adjusters Canada.
As COO, Sharoun will be responsible for leading all operating divisions of the firm. His focus will be on driving key strategic initiatives that will reportedly galvanize Crawford’s position as the leading provider of insurance claims solutions in the Canadian marketplace.
Sharoun has more than 30 years experience in the Canadian insurance industry. The first half of his career was spent with leading insurers such as Hartford Insurance Group, Allstate Insurance Company of Canada, and Laurentian Casualty Company of Canada. He became an independent insurance adjuster in 1990 and was a partner in his own firm until it was acquired by Adjusters Canada in 1995.
When Crawford acquired Adjusters Canada in 1998, Sharoun was responsible for the development of the Global Technical Services division across Canada. He was vice president of Technical Services and a member of Crawford’s executive management team when his role was expanded to include Corporate Services, Marine Services, and branch operations in the province of Quebec. Sharoun was also responsible for leading the Marketing and Sales divisions of the Company. He was promoted to senior vice president in 2002.
