Platinum Receives Subpoena Relating to Finite Reinsurance Products
Bermuda-based Platinum Underwriters Holdings Ltd. announced that it has received a grand jury subpoena from the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York requesting documents relating to Platinum’s finite reinsurance products.
Platinum said it “has been informed that other companies in the industry have received similar subpoenas. Platinum intends to fully cooperate in responding to this request, as it did for similar information requests from the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Office of the Attorney General for the State of New York.”
