Zurich Global Energy Appoints Barber
Zurich Global Energy announced the appointment of Chris Barber as Global Energy onshore property manager for Asia.
The appointment follows the creation of the Greater China unit under CEO Johnny Chen at the start of 2005 and is in line with Zurich Financial Services Group’s effort to strengthen its focus on Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China.
Barber will be based in Hong Kong and will oversee all energy onshore property business in Asia, with a focus on Greater China, Japan and on developing other markets in the region. In this new role, he will also be involved in the strengthening of customer and producer relationships in this market.
Barber was formerly a senior underwriting specialist for Zurich’s Global Energy unit in London.
