Navigant Consulting Expands to Bermuda
Chicago-based Navigant Consulting, Inc. has established Navigant Consulting (Bermuda) Ltd. to extend its services to the island’s insurance and reinsurance market.
“The Company will offer its full suite of consultancy services to insurance and reinsurance companies, sidecars and captives, including reinsurance advisory services; actuarial services; captive support; claims and runoff management; claims litigation management; underwriting advisory services; merger & acquisition due diligence support; systems consulting; forensic accounting and expert witness testimony,” said the announcement.”
Jerry Capell, Managing Director of the company’s Insurance and Reinsurance team, noted the established presence of Bermuda’s insurance industry, and indicated that Naivigant will be in a “strong position to establish a presence in Bermuda which will better enable us to support clients with their business needs in this market.”
Bill Jones, Managing Director of Navigant Consulting’s Insurance and Claims practice added: “Bermuda has now consolidated its position in the world’s insurance/reinsurance industry as one of the major markets. We are extremely excited to bring our consultancy services into this critical market. Ultimately, the expansion will enable Navigant Consulting to offer consultancy services to both insurers/reinsurers domiciled in Bermuda and to U.S. clients who might have an interest in that market.”
Stephen Pearce, a Bermudan and an experienced insurance and captive management professional in Bermuda, has joined Navigant Consulting (Bermuda) Ltd. as a Director to support the company’s efforts.
