Zurich Appoints Sepp Chief Claims Officer
Zurich Financial Services Group announced the appointment of Thomas Sepp (42, German citizen) to the position of Chief Claims Officer, effective September 1, 2010.
He succeeds Christian Orator who was appointed Chief Administrative Officer and member of the Group Executive Committee.
Sepp will be responsible for leading Zurich’s global network of claims professionals and driving continuous improvement in the Group’s claims capabilities and customer service. He will report to Mario Greco, CEO General Insurance, and will be located in Zurich, Switzerland.
He joined Zurich in October 2009 as Chief Operating Officer, Europe General Insurance. Prior to joining Zurich, he worked for McKinsey & Co as Leader of their UK Insurance Practice. He has more than 10 years of consulting experience in the insurance industry spanning a broad range of topics and geographies.
Sepp holds a PhD in Public Administration from the Vienna School of Business and holds a Master on Industrial and Business Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe in Germany.
