Chinese Hedge And Grass Trimmers Recalled
Thousands of Chinese-made grass and hedge trimmers are being recalled due to fuel tank leaks.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Wednesday that trimmers made by Husqvarna Machinery Manufacturing Co. Ltd. have been found to leak between the fuel line and the tank. No injuries have been reported.
The commission says the trimmers should be returned to the place of purchase for a free repair. The recall includes about 19,500 grass trimmers and 6,500 hedge trimmers that were sold from May 2011 to January 2012.
The recall covers the Husqvarna Grass Trimmer, Model 122C, with serial numbers ranging from 2011 17 00001 to 2011 52 99999. It also covers hedge trimmers, models 122HD60 and 122HD45, with serial numbers ranging from 2011 17 00001 to 2011 52 99999.
