Rail Traffic to Resume in Lac-Megantic
Railroad traffic in the Quebec town of Lac-Megantic, where a runaway train carrying crude oil exploded in July, will resume Dec. 18, Mayor Colette Roy- Laroche said.
No hazardous materials will be allowed to cross the city, Roy-Laroche said today at a televised news conference in the Quebec City. Railroads will need to submit a list of all goods at least four hours before the crossing, the mayor said.
