Physicians Plus Corp. Chooses DIAMOND 950 Claims Adm. Solution

Perot Systems Corporation announced that Wisconsin-based Physicians Plus Insurance Corporation (Physicians Plus) has selected Perot Systems’ DIAMOND 950 claims administration solution for its health insurance and managed care enterprise information system.

DIAMOND Enterprise Solutions will help Physicians Plus to achieve a number of benefits, including: maintaining a HIPAA-compliant environment throughout the streamlined, cost-effective system conversion; high first-pass rate for healthcare claims adjudication; customized flexible business rule configuration; and secure Internet portal services for e-Business flexibility.

Physicians Plus, a nationally recognized and accredited managed healthcare organization founded in 1986, and Perot Systems, a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions, signed their original 10-year, $50 million agreement in 2000 for delivery of back-office and technology management services.

Under this new task order, Perot Systems will develop and implement a transition plan to convert Physicians Plus from their current platform to the DIAMOND system. The work will be done in Madison, Wis., and Plano, Texas.
