Kansas DOI Establishes Temporary Office for Storm Inquiries
The Kansas Insurance Department has established a temporary office in Liberal, Kan., to help storm and tornado victims with insurance-related inquiries, according to a statement. Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger announced today that a provisional office is now open at the Liberal Chamber of Commerce, 4 Rock Island Rd., in downtown Liberal.
“Kansans who have any difficulty or confusion with their insurance needs should contact the Kansas Insurance Department immediately,” Praeger said. “Protecting Kansas consumers is our responsibility and our number one priority.”
Consumer Assistance Division representatives are available by mobile telephone in Liberal at (316) 648-7385. Assistance by telephone is also available by calling the toll-free hotline at (800) 432-2484 or the Wichita office at (316) 337-6010. Consumer representatives from the Kansas Insurance Department are also scheduled to attend a Town Hall meeting at 8 p.m. tonight at the Pavilion Center in Kismet.
