BWC Offering Safety Classes for Ohio Employers

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) will offer classes in several cities around Ohio. Employers and employees from a variety of fields can gain information about workplace safety in their specific industries.

“Ohio residents not only have the unique opportunity to learn new safety strategies and cost cutting tactics, but also the ability to protect their employees from unnecessary injury,” said James Conrad, BWC administrator/CEO. “Any accident can be prevented. BWC’s safety classes can equip a business with the proper knowledge to create a safe, proactive workplace.”

Through safety education, BWC reportedly hopes to decrease the number of workplace injuries throughout Ohio. Employers can protect their employees from harm by preventing accidents and being proactive about safety during day to day operations. In addition, the information gained during safety classes can help a businesses maintain a positive safety record and therefore save money on their premiums.

These classes are free to all employers who have an active BWC policy number. All classes begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4:45 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
