AAA Adds Discounts for Chicago Drivers
AAA Chicago will give its members who live in Illinois and insure their autos through AAA an additional 5 percent discount on their insurance premiums beginning Aug. 15, 2005.
This action doubles to 10 percent the discount AAA members receive on AAA’s MemberSelect Insurance Company auto policies, according to Brad Roeber, AAA’s regional president.
“The new, higher members-only discount will result in major savings for our policyholders who belong to AAA Chicago in Illinois,” Roeber said. “Although our auto insurance is available to most Illinois residents, this discount program applies to AAA Chicago members only and is an excellent example of the many special benefits we offer them.”
At the same time, modifications to AAA’s “accident-free” discount program, which also take effect on Aug. 15, were also unveiled. Under this program that recognizes and rewards safe driving, any qualifying insured who does not have an auto accident for an extended period of time will be eligible to receive a premium discount.
The longer a policyholder goes without having an accident, the larger the premium discount will be. Discounts can reach as high as 20 percent, depending on individual driving records, and are available to anyone whose auto is insured through AAA Chicago, not just members.
