Fire Damages FEMA Trailer in Iowa
A mobile home supplied by the Federal Emergency Management Agency as temporary housing in Marion, Iowa has been damaged by fire.
The fire was reported by a neighbor who baby-sitting for the mobile home’s tenant.
The children of the neighbor and the tenant returned to the home to play video games. The four children, two 12-year-olds and two younger children, escaped from the home without injury.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the home’s living room and kitchen area, which is where it apparently started.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
