Flood Disaster Aid in North Dakota Nears $350M

The amount of aid obligated to North Dakota residents and businesses hurt by this year’s flooding is approaching $350 million.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency says federal and state disaster assistance has surpassed $336 million. About 10,000 people have registered for help so far.

People and businesses on the Spirit Lake Nation reservation and in the counties of Barnes, Benson, Burleigh, McHenry, Morton, Ramsey, Renville, Richland and Ward are eligible for aid. They have until the close of business Thursday to apply.
