Man Steals Hotel Van, Crashes into N.D. House
Bismarck police arrested a 61-year-old man over the weekend after he allegedly stole a courtesy van from a local hotel and crashed it into a house.
No one was hurt, but damage to the house is estimated at about $25,000.
Authorities say the man fled from a police officer trying to make a stop for a traffic violation Saturday night, and he eventually lost control of the van and crashed. He fled on foot and later was apprehended by officers who didn’t believe his claim that he was jogging in the area.
