100 Flood-damaged North Dakota Homes to be Demolished
Crews soon will be demolishing flood-damaged homes in Minot, N.D., that are beyond repair.
The Minot Daily News reports that the City Council has accepted a $1.1 million bid from Boise, Idaho-based Magnum Contractors to do the work.
The contractor will demolish and remove about 100 houses that suffered the worst damage during record Souris River flooding earlier this year.
The council also approved a $31,000 contract with Minot’s Main Electric to repair some flood-damaged street lights.
