Lightning Strike Starts Fire in Michigan Church
A lightning strike has caused a fire at a Michigan church on Bay City’s northwest side.
WSGW-AM reports that lighting hit the steeple of New Bethel Testimonial Church about 8 a.m. Tuesday.
The station says that rain from the thunderstorm helped contain the fire to the steeple, and firefighters quickly put out the blaze.
There was some minor water damage inside the church.
So far, there’s no estimate of the dollar loss from the fire.
