150 iPads Stolen From Kansas High School
A north-central Kansas high school is out 150 new iPads after a break-in at its computer lab.
KAKE-TV reports whoever stole the iPads from Phillipsburg High School also took 160 iPad chargers plus 90 cases for the tablet computers.
The Phillips County Sheriff’s department says the break-in happened sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. last Thursday.
Phillipsburg High School has about 200 students. Classes are scheduled to start Aug. 20.
USD 325 superintendent Michael Gower says the iPads were going to be distributed at the high school as part of a new classroom initiative. Gower says the district will transfer iPads from the elementary school to the high school until insurance can cover the loss.
