Indiana Woman Who Claimed School Bus Injury Charged
A northern Indiana woman who claimed she was struck and injured by a school bus has been charged with fraud after surveillance video apparently contradicts her story.
The Journal Gazette reports that 42-year-old Shelley Lapsley of Fort Wayne faces one count of felony insurance fraud for allegedly submitting false claims of injury and misleading information to an insurance company.
Court documents allege that Lapsley submitted a claims report for bodily injury to Fort Wayne Community Schools’ insurance company in which she claimed she had been injured by a school bus.
