Missouri Auto Shop Worker Killed When Lift Falls Over
An employee of a western Missouri automotive shop has died after being pinned under a vehicle lift.
Blue Springs police say the accident happened around 11 a.m. Monday at Highline Autosports.
The victim is identified as a 28-year-old Independence man. Authorities say he and other employees were moving the four-post lift when it toppled over. Police describe the lift as a very heavy, mobile piece of equipment.
The Occupational Health and Safety Administration is investigating.
