Unlicensed Contractors Banned From Doing Business in North Dakota
Seven unlicensed contractors have been banned from doing business in the state because of violations of North Dakota’s consumer fraud laws.
North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem on Tuesday announced that he has issued cease and desist orders against the contractors. He says his office investigated the businesses after receiving complaints regarding the contractors’ failure to start or properly complete projects for which they have already received a payment.
Stenehjem reminds residents to always verify that a contractor is licensed.
The contractors that have been banned are: Michael Knudson of Minot; Ed McDonald with addresses in Texas, Iowa, and North Dakota; Thomas J. Zimmerle, of Mandan: Jaymason W. Bottin of Bigfork, Mont.; Ryan Dalbec of Big Lake, Minn.; Thomas Dohleman of Dilworth; and Kenny and Jessica Huffstutler of Dickinson.
