Authorities in southeast Missouri say thieves are increasingly targeting farms.
Reports that batteries were stolen Friday from irrigation equipment in the Gideon area. The farmer was able to snap a photo of the suspect vehicle, and an investigation continues.
New Madrid County deputies say there have been several other thefts on agricultural land in recent weeks.
