Minot Temporary Housing Units Expected to Decline by Year End
Officials say at least eight of the 13 temporary housing units known to be remaining on private lots in Minot, N.D., since a 2011 flood should be gone before the end of the year.
The Minot Daily News reports that officials have with met homeowners to discuss the status of their house repairs and to grant extensions if needed.
FEMA made more than 2,000 mobile homes available to residents displaced by historic flooding in June 2011.
The Souris River flood swamped 4,100 homes and other structures in Minot and Ward County.
