Flaharty Named Managing Director for New GAB Robins Consulting Group
The GAB Robins Group of Companies, a leading claims services firm, has formed GAB Robins Capital Partners Consulting Group and appointed Michael Flaharty, an internationally recognized expert on claims administration, as its Managing Director.
“This move positions GAB Robins to be the strategic claims partner of choice. We are aggressively moving beyond traditional loss adjusting and third party administration to providing a full complement of services – total claims management,” president and CEO Joe Zubretski said. “Through Mike Flaharty’s leadership and broad experience in this industry, we are confident that this new business will be an integral complement to GAB Robins’ existing services. Our clients will now have access to the insurance industry’s leading claims consulting professional in Mike.”
GAB Robins has affiliated operations in 43 countries, providing a worldwide network of loss adjusting, third party administration and managed care services. Its consulting services are designed to give companies “unbiased reviews and assessments” of their insurance operations.
Flaharty indicated that “Too many consulting firms have gotten away from solving business problems and are more interested in multimillion dollar automation projects. While automation will be critical in future years, at the core of superior performance is best practice claims management. Claims management must be developed at multiple levels, including strategic management, as well as operational best practices. I am excited by continuing my career in this field with such a progressive organization, GAB Robins.”
Flaharty is an expert in claims solutions with over 25 years of experience. He most recently served as Partner in the Insurance Claims Consulting practice within the Supply Chain and Operational Solutions Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Consulting.
